On the Brink of Love
This piece, “within reach,” began with me looking back at the “past lives” series I had created not too long before. I was looking at the characters in the series and decided I would explore aspects of the same story even if it was with different characters. As usual, when I started I didn’t have an “end” in mind but I let the story and idea unfold as I worked. What came was the story of two people on the brink of love. She desires it and is reaching for it. He has it in his hands and simply needs to give it to her. It hasn’t happened yet. But it’s close.
